Barbara L Palethorpe

Barbara L. Palethorpe 93 of Belding passed away Thursday morning June 22, 2023, at home under the loving care of her family and Corewell Hospice. Barbara was born on September 14, 1929, in Belding, the daughter of Ralph and Ellen (Jones) Johnson. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1947. Barbara liked to garden, tend to her flowers, always enjoyed taking a ride with her husband in the country and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was married on June 11, 1949, in Greenville to Thomas H. Palethorpe and he preceded Barabara on June 28, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ralph, her son Thomas, and her son-in-law James Bentley.  Barbara is loved and survived by her children, John (Gaila) Palethorpe of Belding, and Debra K. Bentley of Orleans, a daughter-in-law, Deborah Palethorpe of Lowell, grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Jenifier Palethorpe, Justin Palethorpe, and Sara O’Dell,  and great grandchildren, Dakota Lanning, Joey Lanning, TJ Smith, Jocelyn Smith, Camden O’Dell, Reaghan O’Dell, Olivia Palethorpe, Corbin Palethorpe, Austin Palethorpe, and Chance Palethorpe. In keeping with family wishes, the funeral for Barabara will be private at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Pastor Paul Hulford will officiate. Interment  will be in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. Memorials may be given to Corewell Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
