Andrew Duley Obituary

Andrew J. “ Andy” Duley, 56, of Parnell died unexpectedly Sunday evening January 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health- Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Andy was born on July 17, 1964 in Limestone, Maine, the son of William and Yvonne (Czapski) Duley.

Andy had moved to Michigan as a young child with his family, when his dad was serving in the US Air Force. While Andy considered Rogers City home when he was young, he graduated from Midland High School and later  earned his degree in Engineering  from Ferris State University. Parnell then became his home and he loved the area.

Andy was extremely talented and could do just about anything. He was always busy working on a wide variety of projects.  He was not afraid to tackle any problem. He was funny, loving, driven, determined, caring and very generous. Always willing to help out or share with his family and friends. He made get togethers fun whether it was camping, holidays or quiet days fishing on the lake. Andy was blessed with a skill  for robotics engineering, owning his own company, Duley Engineering. He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, working on his cars and traveling. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parnell. Our dad was the best dad that we could ever ask for. He taught us everything that we know, he was just full of love, knowledge and patience for the ones that he loved. We will never forget all the times we spent together camping, fishing, star gazing, rock polishing, listening to records, riding around in his cool cars, fixing things, building forts and everything else that we did together that bonded us to him for life. Andy who was a caring and tender hearted  son will be greatly missed and always remembered with a smile by all who knew him. He was married on April 17, 2004 at St. Patrick Church to Maureen Malone.

Andy is loved and survived by his wife Maureen and their children, Nick and Kari Duley, Rebecca Duley, Nathan and Sarah  Duley all of Grand Rapids, Meaghan  and  Cory Hagerman of Parnell, grandchildren; Maelyn, Gideon, Rogue, Emma, his parents, William and Yvonne Duley of Tustin, his siblings, Bill and Terry Duley of Cadillac, Michele Mantle (Tommy Klimaszewski), Greg  and Sandy Duley all of Midland, Lisa and Ray Stephens of Pearland, TX, Pete and  Kim Duley of Freeland, his father in law; Pat Malone ( Lynn Christian ) of Parnell, his brothers in law and sisters in law, MaryJo Malone and  Mike Brus of Temecula, CA., Sean and  Patricia Malone of Elk Rapids, Jackie and Jim VanderPloeg of Parnell, Kerry and Jim Andrews of Parnell, many nieces, nephews and friends.
