Allean Gibbs

Allean Gibbs, 74, of Belding, went to the Lord on Wednesday morning March 17, 2021 at home under the care of her family and Heartland Hospice. Allean was born on June 29, 1946 in Belding, the daughter of Clifford and Zelda (Yost) Ort.

Allean graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1964. In earlier years she had worked as a secretary at Viatech in Belding, the Belding Hospital and her favorite job was working with the children at St. Joseph School as the school secretary. She enjoyed huck weaving, fishing, bowling, taking pictures and playing cards. Allean is loved and survived by her husband Max and their children; Todd (Debbi) Gibbs, Kea Gibbs (Mark Sower), all of Belding, grandchildren; Tyler Gibbs, Raven Cramer, Dylan Grunow, Kylan Sower and Myana Sower, sister; Sue Austin of Belding and sister-in-law; Marcella Ort of Trufant. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; one in infancy and Richard Ort.

In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A time of visitation will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00-4:00  PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Private graveside services will take place later at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, with Pastor Darwyn Hassart officiating. Memorials may be given to the Smyrna Bible Church or Heartland Hospice.
