William Crystler Obituary

William “Bill” T. Crystler, 67, of Hale formerly of Belding passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 in Belding under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Bill was born on May 16th, 1952 in Greenville, the son of William and Marguerite (Christensen) Crystler.

He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1970 and later from Central Michigan University in 1974, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsion Fraternity. Bill had retired in 2011 as a Senior Vice President of the Little Caesars Company in Detroit.  Bill enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He spent a number of years living and working on Mackinac Island as a carriage driver, in the hotel business, and as a police officer. He truly loved and enjoyed time spent on the Island. Bill was a deeply sentimental man who enjoyed the simple quietness of being outdoors, living up north and enjoying nature as God intended. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Bill is loved and survived by his children; Carly (Nathan) Youngs of Chicago and Katina (Sebastian) Schneider of Heidelberg, Germany, grandchildren; Katelyn, Charlotte, Julian, Leonas siblings; Debbie (Dan) Blunt of Ionia, Paul (Peggy) Crystler of Belding and Peggy (Mike) Martin of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. There are no formal memorial services scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will take place in the near future. In lieu of memorial contributions please remember Bill by stepping outside and enjoying a quiet moment in nature and helping another person with a kind act.
