Randy C Cotter

Randall “Randy” C. Cotter, 66, of Belding, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2019 at Spectrum Health United Campus in Greenville. Randy was born on July 22, 1952 in Greenville, the son of Gerald G. and Janice M. (Elkins) Cotter.

Randy graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1970 and later retired as a machinist for Aggressive Tooling in Greenville retiring in 2018 after 27 years of service. For many years Randy coached baseball and football for his own sons and many other boys in the area.  He enjoyed listening to the Beatles, golf, and especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a friend to many and was always willing to help especially in winter time plowing many neighbors driveway. He was a good husband, dad and grandpa, loved family time and will be greatly missed.  He married Teri L. Wickering on October 26, 1974 in Grand Rapids.

Randy is loved and survived by his wife Teri and their children; Jerry (Veronica) Cotter serving in the US Navy stationed in Sicily and James (Arlene) Cotter of Sheridan, grandchildren; Logan, Sophia, Lauren and Lilly, siblings; Ellen (Gale) Satterlee of Rockford, Luanne Cotter (Scott Arens) of Hudsonville and Karen (Victor) Lehman of Ionia, several nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law; Steven Wickering.

Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2019 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Following visitation a graveside funeral service will be held at Smyrna Cemetery with Pastor Paul Hulford of the First Congregational Church, Belding officiating. Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation or the Belding Fire Department/First Responders.
