Nona I Burns

Nona Burns, 88, of Belding, passed away at home on Tuesday morning, October 2, 2018. Nona was born on May 7, 1930 in Fargo, North Dakota.

She was a past member of the Belding American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Moose Lodge in Greenville and the Eagles Club. Nona loved to bowl, travel, read, and was a good card player. She had a big love of family and friends and will be greatly missed.  Nona is loved and survived by her children; Nancy (Dennis) Bush of Hudsonville, Gordon (Yvonne) Stene of Belding, grandchildren; Krista (Jayme) Rietema of Colorado, Rachel (Marvin) VanNortwick of Grand Rapids, Amy Bush of Wyoming, MI and Tonya (John) Rooks of Ionia and Gordon Stene of Belding. great grandchildren; Connor, Mitchell, Evan, Mya, Jacob, Sarah, Ava and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sisters.

A time to celebrate Nona’s life will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. No funeral will take place.  Private interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
