Margery A. McQueen, 85, of Belding, passed away Monday morning November 4, 2019 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Campus in Greenville. Margery was born on December 19, 1933 in Ionia, the daughter of Ambrose and Martha (Lehman) Feuerstein.
Margery graduated from SS Peter and Paul Academy in Ionia. In earlier years she had worked as a secretary at Gibson Refrigeration Company and later was the assistant librarian at the Alvah N. Belding Library for many years. She was a longtime member of the Thimble Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ave Maria Guild at church.
Margery married Eugene McQueen at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding on April 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Ralph Feuerstein and sister Rosalyn Kohn.
She is loved and survived by her children; Steve (Diane) McQueen of White Cloud and Susie (Rob) Weick of Fenwick, grandchildren; Erin (Alan) Young of Ada, Michael McQueen of Sacramento, CA and Gerritt Weick of Fenwick, great grandchildren; Graham Young and Clare Young, siblings; Joyce (Paul) Wynne of Greenville, Phil (Colleen) Feuerstein and Bob (Ann) Feuerstein all of Belding, several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday November 8, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belding with Father Troy A. Nevins as celebrant. Private interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday with a rosary prayed at 7:30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Alvah N. Belding Library or St. Joseph Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
