Marcus J Gardner

Marcus J. Gardner, 64, of Lake, MI formerly of Belding, passed away Monday December 4, 2017 at home. Marcus was born on October 21, 1953 in Greenville, the son of Edward H. and Edna P. (Welton) Gardner.

Marcus graduated with the Class of 1971 from Belding High School. He was a member of the Clare County Rod and Gun Sportsman Club, past member of the Belding Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, was a big karaoke fan and enjoyed talking sports and politics with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Marcus is loved and survived by his children; Marcus J. (Kelly) Gardner II of Cedar Springs, Joseph E. (Maria) Gardner of Rockford and Christopher B. (Amy) Gardner of Cedar Springs, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Mark, Samantha, Isaiah, Peyton and Karlie, siblings; Veronica (Leward) Smith of Lake City, FL, Steven (Sally) Gardner of Rockford and Brian Gardner of Orleans and his fiancé Beverly Zayac. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, sister Debra June Gardner and nephew Jason Gardner.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2017 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Byron Davey officiating. Visitation will be Friday noon-2:00 pm at the funeral home. Committal prayers will follow in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the Belding Freedom Wall.
