Jack B. Mason, 84, of Belding, passed away unexpectedly Sunday April 7, 2019 at home. Jack was born on January 3, 1935 in Ionia, the son of Nathan and Emma (Renz) Mason.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1956-1959. He enjoyed fishing, camping and had a life long love of music, dancing and in later years enjoyed karaoke. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William and his wife of 40 years Evelyn. He is loved and survived by his brothers and sisters; Donald (Helen) Mason, George (Pauline) Mason, James Mason all of Belding, Francis Strouse and Mary Mason both of Greenville, Delores (Gene) Cummings of Six Lakes, many nieces, nephews and friends Dr. Ausiello who the family would like to thank for all the love and care and Roger Towne Jr. of Belding.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2019 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Military honors will be given by the joint honor guard of Belding American Legion and VFW. Interment will be in Greene Cemetery, Belding. After committal prayers at the cemetery a luncheon will be held at Shiloh Community Church. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Ionia County Commission on Aging.
