Hilda M. Shindorf 93 of Sheridan passed away Saturday morning February 2, 2019 at Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview. Hilda was born on February 22, 1925 in Barryton, the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Sanger) Bottorff. She proudly graduated as Salutatorian with the Class of 1943 from Barryton High School. She was married on May 5, 1945 in Colorado Springs to Bernard Shindorf. He preceded her as well as her parents, two brothers; Carl and Harvey and a sister Gracelyn. Hilda had retired from Gibson’s in Belding in 1982 after many years of service. She was a longtime member of the Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Euchre Club of Sheridan. She enjoyed card games, family time and crafts. She was well known for the many beautiful center pieces she had created. Hilda is loved and survived by her children; Sherry ( Ron) Jackson of Fenwick, Richard ( Vicki) Shindorf of Langston, Nicki ( Eric) Hansen of Stanton, Cindy ( David ) Thomas of Sidney, Bruce ( Loretta ) Shindorf of Stanton, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one brother; Clare ( Delores) Bottorff of Ohio.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Shane Prewitt officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-6 pm at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding and one hour before the funeral at church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Belding. Memorials may be given to the Sheridan VFW Post No. 5065 -Ladies Auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
