Hazel M. Antcliff, 78, of Belding, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at home under the loving care of her family and Ionia Area Hospice. Hazel was born on May 7, 1939 in Grattan, the daughter of Louie and Alice (Woodworth) Abson.
Hazel attended Belding Area Schools, was a huge Detroit Tiger Baseball Fan and claimed to have watched every game. Hazel enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, occasional trips to the casino, arranging flowers, deer hunting and playing cards with family and friends. She was also a good baker having her own cake business making many cakes for weddings, birthday parties and special occasions. She had also served as past president of the Kenny Antcliff and Rythm Ramblers Fan Club. Hazel was a good wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Hazel is loved and survived by her children; Annette BeVier of Greenville, Teresa (Roger) Walling, Dawn (Todd) Jonker all of Lowell, Tina (Carl) Cooper of Pierson, grandchildren; Robert (Eva) BeVier Jr., Clifford (Melissa) BeVier, Vicky Antcliff, Travis Antcliff, Brandon Walling, Brad Walling, Breanna Jonker and Brett Jonker, great grandchildren; McKenize, Ava and one more on the way, brother and sister-in-law; Norman (Myrna) Abson of Hershey, MI. She was preceded by her parents, husband; Richard, son; Rick, son-in-law; Robert BeVier, brothers; Hank, LJ and sisters; Edith and Doris.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Shane Prewitt of Shiloh Community Church, Orleans officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening, February 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in Greene Cemetery, Belding. Memorials may be given to Ionia Area Hospice.
