Gladys M. (Moon) Walker 87 of Belding went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning December 23, 2017 at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Gladys was born on November 2, 1930 in Berlin Township, Michigan the daughter of Wilbur and Viola (Gunckel) Moon. Gladys was a strong, faith filled woman who loved the Lord and had attended New Hope Church of God in Belding and later Greenville First Church of God. For many years Gladys had driven school bus, first for Belding Area Schools and later retiring from Greenville Public Schools. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, bird watching, tending her flower garden, painting and travel. She and her husband had flown twice to Alaska in their single engine airplane. She had a love of family and will be greatly missed. She was married on June 26, 1948 to Louie Walker. Gladys is loved and survived by her husband Louie and their children; Lois (David) Henry of Belding, Dennis (Sue) Walker of Sheridan, Mike (Melody) Walker of Belding, Lou Ann (Thomas) Cousinaw of Sheridan, her grandchildren; Carisa(Floyd) Tuttle, Michael ( Katie) Henry, Jason ( Amanda) Henry, Jennifer (Jesse) Nicodemus, Kevin ( Trisha) Walker, Marc ( Erika) Walker, Denise ( Paul) Ruwersma, Holly Walker, Sonja ( Bill) VanVlerah, Keith ( Meghan) Walker, TJ Cousinaw, Kristen Hopkins, Megan ( Nathan) Wilholt and twenty six great grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers; David Gunckel, Bill Moon, Howard Moon and Harry Moon.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Robert Cooper of Greenville First Church of God officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 pm and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Committal prayers will follow the funeral at Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick.
