Gary L. Lehman

Gary L. Lehman 72 of Muir passed away unexpectedly Friday evening October 20, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Gary was born on May 21, 1945 in Portland, the son of Englebert and Pauline (Ames) Lehman. He graduated from Portland High School and later retired in 1986 from General Motors of Lansing. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time at the cabin. He was always on the lookout for the best deals at garage sales and the mission stores. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Gary is loved and survived by his wife Aletha and their children; Gary (Annette) Lehman of Vestaburg, Jeff (Angie) Lehman of Muir, Frank (Fran) Stauffer of Lake Odessa, Mark (Melissa) Lehman of Hubbardston, Cheryl (Brian) LaSarge of Crystal, Deb (Paul) Charles of Lyons, Lura(Mick) Flanders of Muir, Cathy(Byron) UpChurch of South Carolina, 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, special friends; Jim Cooper, Terri Wright and Lyndon Randell. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Dan and Ron, two sisters; Rosie and Diane, three sons; Steve, Charles and Wes and a nephew David. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday October 24, 2017 at the Lyons-Muir Church on Olmstead Road & M-21 west of Muir, with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Committal prayers will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Muir. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church and Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
