Flora “Jean” Carroll, 78, of Belding, passed away Thursday evening November 8, 2018 at home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Jean was born on April 22, 1940 in Lyons, the daughter of LaVern and Louise (Ockert) Winright.
In earlier years Jean had worked at Jolly Kids in Belding, the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons and later at Electrolux in Greenville.
She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill with her best friend Shirley, collecting porcelain dolls and created many special doll clothes. Jean enjoyed crafts, camping at Fletcher Pond and spending time with her family.
She is loved and survived by her children; Diana Marie (Larry) Fedewa of Lyons, Joey LeRoy (Connie) Butler of Belding, Larry (Clara) Butler of Palo and Rickie (Marlene) Butler of Long Lake, 15 grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, siblings; Wilma Thorp, Rosa “Rosie” Haig all of Grand Rapids, Harvey Leroy Feathers of Ionia and Doris Riley of Belding. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Walter Winwright and Charles Winwright, three sisters; Virginia Emmons, Vivian Jeffery and Crystal Gravelin.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Dave Kingsbury officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Committal prayers will follow in Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. Memorials may be given to The B Foundation or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
