Donald F. VanWagoner 91 of Belding passed away Thursday morning March 22, 2018 at Spectrum Health in Greenville.
Don was born on January 13, 1927 in Fenton, the son of P. W. and Rose (Steel) VanWagoner. Don proudly served his country two times; first in the US Army during World War II and later in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Belding VFW Post No. 4406. Don enjoyed music and reading. He was married on March 1, 1946 in Belding to Lorna J. Allison and she survives along with their children; Bill VanWagoner of Belding, Daniel (Joyce) VanWagoner of Cedar Springs, Linda ( Mike) Miller of Trufant and Steve ( Wendy) VanWagoner of Rockford, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Milton, Marguerta, Bernita, Eva, Hattie, Lee, Mary and Harold.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and the family will remember Don with a private service. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library.
