Donald Foss

Donald L. Foss, 78, of Gowen, passed away Wednesday morning, December 12, 2018 at home surrounded and cared for by his loving family and Spectrum Health Hospice. He was born on June 26th, 1940 in Belding, the son of Lorrine  Foss and Pauline (Reynolds) Peck.

In earlier years he attended Belding Area Schools, rode motorcycles, enjoyed camping, sports and golf. Don was blessed with the ability to be able to fix anything, especially cars and had owned Foss Body Shop near Belding for many years. He later had worked and retired from State Farm Insurance after 15 years as an estimator. Don was  a longtime member of Shiloh Community Church where he had served as a treasurer and usher. Don enjoyed playing guitar and had a lifelong love of music .He enjoyed wintering  at his home in Florida for a number of years and while there participated in many music jams with his Florida friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Don is loved and survived by his children; Karen (Jim) Hopkins of Rockford, Lora (Dave) VanderHulst of Allendale, Donna (Harley) Killgore of Gowen, Don (Laura) Foss of Comstock Park, Cindy (Scott) Keech of Ada, Ron F. (Laura Dargitz) Robach of Stanton, Melissa (Brett) Pawlanta of Grand Rapids and Bob Warner of Gowen, 31 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, siblings; Beverly Shannon of Clare, Bruce Reynolds of Clare and Cindy (Raul) Cortez of Clearwater, FL. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jackie Foss.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Private Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding and one hour before the service at church. Memorials may be given to the B Foundation or Shiloh Community Church.
