Charlotte M Haskin

Charlotte M. Haskin, 99, of Ionia formerly of Saranac, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Heartland Health Care in Ionia. Charlotte was born on April 16, 1918 in Evergreen Park, IL, the daughter of Emil and Alvina (Abs) Petchinsky.

She was a past member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ionia and Ladies Aid Society. Charlotte enjoyed bingo, cards and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Charlotte married Byron Haskin on April 4, 1953 and he preceded her in 2004 as well as her parents, 2 daughters; Betty and Connie, son-in-law Joe, 4 brothers and 7 sisters. She is loved and survived by her children; Judy (Bill) Loper of Greenville, Bev Coonrod of Saranac and Bonnie (Chris) Zahm of Martin, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral and Committal Prayers will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Private Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
