Richard A. "Rick" Lipp, aged 57, of Belding, passed away under the loving care of Hospice of Michigan on Friday morning, March 15, 2024. Born on April 9, 1966 in Cadillac, Michigan, to Charlie and Bonnie (Lawton) Lipp-Sundell, Rick proudly graduated with the 1984 class of Belding High School. He married the love of his life, Bessie Goodrich in 1987. They welcomed their daughter, Sarah, into their lives in 1987, followed by Kevin, in 1988. Rick had a long career of 28 years driving truck at Republic Services, where he made many good friendships. His number one passion was having the opportunity to work at Krieger Farms for Ray and Erik.
It was easy to see that Rick lived his life out loud and on his own terms. He was a kind understanding person who possessed a heart of gold. His greatest blessings were his children and grandchildren. He was truly the happiest when surrounded by their presence.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie, of Belding, his father, Charlie, of Battle Creek; Stepmother, Karol of Greenville; Mother-in-law, Alma, of Belding; his children Sarah (Michael) of Greenville and Kevin (Erika) of Belding; siblings, Tina (Dave) of Battle Creek, Robin of Cadillac, Dana (Dick) of Manton; brothers-in-law Kelly of Belding and Jamie (Tonya) of Belding; grandchildren, Alleigh, Emalyn, Kolten, as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie; father-in-law, Donnie; and sister Kelli.
Life will never be the same without Rick, but he leaves a collection of memories that his family and friends will forever hold near and dear to their hearts.
A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, with a luncheon to follow at the American Legion in Belding. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Rick are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan.
