Donna Mae Warner, 86, of Belding passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Maple Ridge Manor in Lowell Township. Donna was born on July 20, 1937, in Fayette, Ohio, the daughter of Don Woodrow and Doris Eleanor (Deshler) Hippert.
Donna was raised in Adrian, Michigan, and graduated salutatorian of the Adrian High School class of 1955. She married Ransom Gayle ‘R.G.’ Warner on July 23, 1955. That same year, Donna and her husband moved to Belding, Michigan to manage the newly established branch of Warner and Sons Trucking Co.
Donna raised her family in Belding and worked in the family business. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who supported her children and grandchildren in all their ventures.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Belding. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. She was a member of the Belding Thimble Club. She enjoyed spending winters in Perdido Beach, Alabama and visits there from family and friends. Donna was an exceptional pie maker and a great fan of the Law and Order and CSI series.
Donna is loved and survived by her children, Kirk (Cindy) Warner, Kort (Mary) Warner, Kristie (Curt) Walls, all of Belding; grandchildren, Jason Warner, Ryan (Megan) Warner, Brandon (Katherine) Warner, Carissa (Tony) McClary, Leslie Warner, Alisha (Dennis) Strohkirch, Garnet Scarabin, and Kyle (Tiffany) MacDermaid; great-grandchildren, Amyiah, Lillian, Brayden, Madden, Myleigh, Ransom, Audrey, and Claire; sister, Sue Anne Kilgore of Harbor Springs; sisters-in-law, Marcia Doty of Holt, Geri Warner of Ohio, and Sherrie Warner of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother William (LaVonne Sue), and sister Patricia.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home. A private committal service will be held at a later date. In place of flowers, please consider memorials to Faith Community Christian School or the Alvah N. Belding Library.
